Abstract
This report covers the area between Forbes in the south, and Tomingley in the north, and the Harvey Range and Carridgery-Gunning Ridge in the east and west respectively. A meridional belt of gold deposits extending from Forbes, through Parkes and Peak Hill to Tomingley, and a significant new discovery of a porphyry copper-gold province near Goonumbla, have recently provided the stimulus for a high level of exploration activity in the area. Several sub-projects of the Geological Survey's Component of the Parkes Project are discussed in this report.
