Abstract
The Numbla 1:00,000 sheet covers an area of 2650 square km in the southernmost part of the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales. About 70 square km of the south-western corner of the sheet is in the State of Victoria. The area covered by the Numbla sheet is on the southern part of the Palaeozoic Lachlan Fold Belt (Scheibner 1973), or the Lachlan Geosyncline of Packham (1960).
