Lachlan Downs Explanatory Notes (1989)

Abstract

The Lachlan Downs 1:100000 sheet is located about 55km south of Cobar in central western New South Wales (figure 1). The Lachlan Downs 1:100000 sheet lies in the western part of the Lachlan Fold Belt (figure 4). The major rock units on the Lachlan Downs sheet are the Tallebung Group, Thule Granite, Cobar Supergroup, Gilgunnia Granite, and Mulga Downs Group.
