Abstract
The Nymagee 1:250,000 Metallogenic map (SI5502) is produced as a part of a programme involving the assessment of the mineral resources of the Lachlan Fold Belt in New South Wales. This Metallogenic map and accompanying mineral deposit data sheets provide a comprehensive mineral deposit data base for the region, a modern recompilation of the geological data, and a regional metallogenic framework for use in mineral exploration, land use planning, mineral resource assessment.
The results of the Metallogenic Mapping Programme are presented in two parts:
- Metallogenic Map,
- Mineral Deposit Data Sheets, including explanatory notes, a comprehensive deposit index, and the lists of unpublished reports and other author-indicated references used in compiling the data sheets and finally
- Metallogenic Study, including a summary of the regional geological setting and a brief description of the deposit types.
