Abstract
The Sydney 1:500000 Metallogenic Map includes Singleton, Newcastle and Woolongong and is one of a series of maps presenting detailed information on metallic mineral occurrences in New South Wales as a basis for recognising and delineating metallogenic provinces and districts. Non-metallic deposits have only been dealt with where they provide additional information which may assist in achieving these aims. As little interpretation as possible has been carried out in the assembly of information. The information is presented on standardised mine data sheets designed to show, in simplified form, a comprehensive range of characteristics of mines and mineral deposits.
