Cargelligo-Narrandera Metallogenic Map Explanatory Notes (1980)

Abstract

Compilation of the accompanying mine data sheets has been largely from published and unpublished reports held by the Geological Survey of New South Wales. The data sheets are designed to present brief, factual information on each deposit with a minimum of interpretation. Notes supplement the Cargelligo Narrandera 1:250, 000 Metallogenic Map and accompanying mine data sheets, and are an interpretation of the metallogenesis of the map area. It is intended to provide a brief description of the geology, structure, evolution and mineralization of the several structural units represented in the area of the map sheet. Short genetic interpretations are also made based on the literature available and field work.
