Abstract
As part of the mapping project, as detailed a summary as possible was compiled for each mine. These summaries are presented in the form of data sheets. Much of the information contained on the data sheets is depicted in symbol form on the map in order to show regional settings more clearly and to give an overall picture of metallogenic provinces and/or districts. It is hoped that the metallogenic maps and data sheets will be used as exploration tools. As far as possible, no interpretation has been carried out in the assembly of this summary information so that independent workers may carry out their own analyses. The genetic discussion is purely interpretative, and is based on as much information as the writer has been able to gather on possible ore genesis, similarities and differences of deposits, and metallogenic districts or provinces. As a result some of the comments made in this section are quite conjectural.
